Our largest event, the Global Mobile Internet Conference is now the largest mobile conference in Asia drawing more than 5000 attendees from 30 countries. GWC monthly tech events draw more than 300 entrepreneurs, developers and executives in 4 cities in Asia. Our mobiSights blog is one of the most respected English blogs on tech in China. GWC Consulting services have provided market advisory to companies like Tencent, Rovio and Nokia.

We have just started our business in the U.S. and are seeking for a passionate, tech loving well-rounded rockstar that can build the brand and drive sales of GWC products like the Global Mobile Internet Conference (GMIC), GWC membership, sponsorship, and monthly events, among our American target markets.

Please note that this is a ground-floor, roll-your-sleeves-up opportunity. You will have an opportunity to wear many hats and play a hands-on role.

Title: Event Marketing/Sales Specialist

Report: President, GWC US

Type: Full Time / Part Time / Intern

Start Date: Immediately

Location: Santa Clara, California, US

Compensation: Base Salary + Competitive Bonus

Responsibilities:

Responsible to promote GMIC as well as selling tickets to the general publics by using all the possible channels, like PR, events, newsletters, blogs, and Social Media (preferably Twitter / YouTube /LinkedIn).
Assist in managing partnership for the events.

Desired Skill & Experience:

Native level English required
Undergraduate degree in a related field preferred
Good, efficient English writing skills
Good ?people skills? and negotiation skills
Experience using social networking websites (Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, Google+) and online tools (Mailchimp, online CRM, CMS: WordPress, Drupal) for marketing purposes
Passionate about China and the mobile internet industry
An ability and desire to work in multicultural, multi-language environments
Previous conference sales experience is strongly preferred as well as knowledge of international business-to-business conferences.

Title: Business Development Associate

Report: President, GWC US

Type: Full Time / Part Time / Intern

Start Date: Immediately

Location: Santa Clara, California, US

Compensation: Base Salary + Competitive Bonus

Responsibilities:

Assist in CEO membership, corporate sponsorship, group tickets, and exhibition booth space

Contact international business executives in Mobile Internet Industry and follow up on enquiries

Desired Skill & Experience:

Native level English required
Undergraduate degree in a related field preferred
Good, efficient English writing skills
Outstanding organizational skills and negotiation skills
Excellent communication skills; Comfortable with speaking with high-level international decision makers
Passionate about China and the mobile internet industry
An ability and desire to work in multicultural, multi-language environments
Previous experience of working in a target driven event sales environment
